The Virtual SAN is native version of KernSafe iSCSI SAN cross-platform which can work in the VMWare vSphere (ESX, ESXi) and Citrix XenServer host machine. It quickly brings the benefits are:
Build Hyper-Converged Infrastructure or high availability visualization server with only two servers (two nodes high availability).
Convert VMWare vSphere and Citrix XenServer into hyper converged servers, allows it can provide both compute and storage service.

The Virtual Native SAN, Native iSCSI SAN for Cirtix XenServer and VMWare vSphere, is a ported version from Windows iSCSI SAN, which is fully compatible with Windows iSCSI SAN, and supports almost all features of iStorage Server, user can follow all white paper list here:

To use Virtual Native SAN is quite easy, you need a machine which running XenServer  for installing Virtual Native SAN core service, and then use a Windows desktop to remote manage it.

1. Install Virtual Native SAN:

Log on to XenServer shell or remote log on to it via ssh, download Virtual Native SAN from KernSafe website and then extract the package in any folder:

#wget http://www.kernsafe.com/download/virtual-native-san.5.30.tar.gz
#tar -zxvf virtual-native-san.5.30.tar.gz

Enter the VirtualSAN package directory

Step1.
Type the following command to install:
./install.sh


Step2.
Done, after installed, SuperSAN will registered as service in Linux, it will automatically start when Linux system start.

2. Remote Management.

In windows, run KernSafe iSCSI SAN management console, click Server->Add another server...

In the popup up Windows, type the IP address of your Mac OS X, and then click the OK button.

After added the server, you can do anything by following white paper or user's manual, and we highly recommend you to change password for the remote management. Click the setting buttons, user can modify management password in the following window:
