KERNSAFE - iSCSI SAN Software and Storage Virtualization

KernSafe iSCSI SAN is is compatible with Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) in windows server series. Which can provide instant Snapshot and CPD feature. Snapshot feature is an advanced mechanism that allow use easily achieve data backup and resume. VSS snapshot feature is used to capture a iSCSI device's state at any point in time.

To use the VSS snapshot feature, user needs to open server computer which is running Windows version of KernSafe iSCSI SAN, right click on the drive icon which hold the iSCSI target image files, select the Properties menu item. The Drive (X:) Properties Dialog is shown.

Change to the Shadow Copies tab page.

Select a volume you want to create a snapshot, press the Enable button, the Enable Shadow Copies dialog is shown.

Press the Yes button to continue.

To create a new snapshot, press the Create Now button.

To revert to a snapshot, press the Revert button.

To delete a snapshot, select a snapshot to be deleted and press the Delete Now button.
