Overview

INetDisk Is a Virtualized disk mapping software,it can mapping some disk/RAID disks on a computer, but the disk source is a disk or a image file on another computer. the virtual disk which you load on your own computer can be used as usual as local. it is fast, safe, reliable and convenient.

INetDisk provides the convenience of protecting all files and folders on the server's disk. You can set three kinds of models for the disk to be visited( full access ,protect ,or refuse ), The protected option allow the file and folder on disks are undeletable, unrenamable, unmovable ,full access option can allows client machines to do anything arbitrarily.the refused option make the date on the disk inaccessable. the client machines which will load the share disk service must be in the scope of the trusty ip list which you setting on server.

The mapping disk is exactly the same as the source disks on the server,we can use it as the same as local disk, For example partition , format and do some file operation. But all the operation only work local, do not affect to the server, when your server's disk is in protected accessal.

Compared to iscsi, INetDisk also provides a virtual write technology. what is the virtual write mean, That is the user may carry on some operation (read, write, etc) while using the disks, but all operations only affect himself/herself rather than affect the others using same source disks. And all the operation is transparently to users.

INetDisk is build with the architecture of Client/Server, and it is also an kernel mode software (drivers), this product is developed independently and own intellectual property rights.

Functions

  • Maps the whole disk on server to the same virtual ones on other computers.
  • Maps partitions on server to virtual hard disks on other computers, the disk is contain a partition that same as the source partitions.
  • Maps a disk image file on server to virtual hard disks on other computers.
  • Using the virtual disks is all the same as real ones, format, read files, write files and execute programs, etc.
  • By default, all the operation on clients will take effect local, after remounted the virtual disk or restarted computer, the data on the clients will be recovered, but also can make one client as a operator which has full access right can modify server disk directly.
  • Clients can mapping a local image file to virtual disks that is, clients can use this system as a disk emulator without servers.
  • Support series of 2000/XP/2003 operating system.
  • Support the newest operation system ------ VISTA.
  • It can working in with internet environment.

Feature

  • No confliction when several users using some files at the same time.
  • Easy to use, using remote files is as easy as using his/her own disks.
  • Easy to update, content of virtual disk on client machine would be updated when update the disk on server. That is: configure once, running anywhere.INetDisk via a INetDisk service on server computer offers a service of total disk, partition or a image file resource. INetDisk server can manage all the clients connected to him, manage access right, add new trust client, delete trust clients, refuse clients request, etc.
  • INetDisk has a disk mounter, which used to mount a disk from servers, just input IP address and port of the server. After mounted, you will see disks in your computer, and you can see this disk by windows disk management tool to. Compared with sharing folders, the advantage is that many clients can run programs and games freely at the same time, just like on their own computer. But in sharing folders environment when some programs are running, it read or write date files, so, this programs could not running normally with read only access mode, even if running at full access mode, the conflictions which are produced by several customers lead to abnormal running are also exist, and resources on server are extremely unsafe in this full access mode. INetDisk make many customers use the resources on server freely by using virtual write technology, the client users use the resources just like on their PC. For example, user A create a file and write some data when user B does the same thing. But user A only see his data rather than customer B's when he open the file and read it. In the same way, there is no problem when a program of customer A locks a file and customer B access it at the same time under the system with INetDisk. But we can't carry out these by the way of sharing folders environment.
