Any benchmarks on different disk types

Post by WebGuy » Fri Dec 04, 2009 7:55 am

Any performance benchmarks on the following?

Image File Device
Partition-to-disk Bridged Disk
Physical Disk Bridged Disk

Trying to figure out which is the best way performancewise to go as we move forward. :ugeek:

Thanks!

We can provide a one when the new version is released, because we have done a little to improve.

Hopefully you have fixed the performance when copying very large files :)

I was hoping to use iStorage as a low cost backup to our primary ISCSI SAN, but its impossible to copy large files of 25 gig or larger size to iStorage right now (v1.43). It starts out OK, but slows down dramatically and starts acting very wierd when using either 1Gig or 10Gbe cards and copying very large files.

Thanks!
