Possible to mount disks as writable instead of re-writable?

Is it possible to mount virtual disks as writable instead of re-writable? Some OEM recovery media creation applications, and potentially other software, do not allow you to use media that is re-writable. If it is not possible, could this be a feature added to the next version?

Sorry we don't understand your mean correctly, we don't think there is any difference between writable and re-writable with virtual disk, do you mean CD/DVD-R?

I am trying to burn from HP recovery disk creation software and it only accepts DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD+R, or DVD+R DL. When I point the HP software at the TotalMounter DVD burner the HP software throws up an error stating that it cannot write to a DVD-RW disk. So my question is, is it possible for TotalMounter to emulate a DVD-R disk instead of a DVD-RW disk.

I am facing the same problem.
I need to burn a one time writable dvd iso image only. The dvd created by TotalMounter creates a DVD-RW (i.e. DVD-ReWritable). We require DVD-R. Please help us!

Same problem trying to make HP recovery disks. The software won't allow DVD-RW. Please give us the choice of using virtual DVD-R media.
