New version of iStorage Server 4.0 is now available!

The latest version of iStorage Server, 4.0, has been released.

Update list in 4.0:

[*]Significantly optimized to the whole software.
[*]Significantly changed and improved to the management console.
[*]Significantly improved to the software architecture
[*]Optimized to the applications (high availability, replication etc).
[*]Added software RAID5 feature.
[*]Added multiple LUNs feature.
[*]Added distributed iSCSI SAN (data center) feature.
[*]Fixed all existing bugs.

Update list in 3.20:

[*]Improved synchronous and asynchronous replication feature.
[*]Improved automatic snapshot feature.
[*]Fixed some bugs
[*]Improved free license features.
[*]Improved management console GUI.

Update list in 3.10:

[*]Improved HA features which allows to use as much as 4 channels for heart-beat
[*]Improved HA interfaces management.
[*]Improved Asynchronous replication feature.
[*]Add function of SMTP settings testing.
[*]Support completely automatic upgrade, fixed upgrade problem from 2.x to 3.0.

[*]Improved HA features which can use multiple NICs to prevent split-brain.
[*]Optimized replication synchronizing method, allows multiple replication synchronizing at the same time.
[*]Optimized replication verify method, improved performance and allows multiple verify and multiple points to synchronize.

[*]Add additional sync link for HA replication.
[*]Add performance statistics feature.

Looks like Version 4 is where the performance statistics is going be. Any idea of a release date?

Also noticed 3.30 was released, any release notes on what changed since 3.10?

The newest final version is 3.20, we updated the content of this topic.
For performance statistics, it is already included in 3.0, you can see it when you click a target.
We need around 2 months for internal and public testing for 4.0 major upgrade.

Yes, you can freely upgrade from previous version to the newest without lost configurations.

Noticed you just released iStorage 4.30 today. Any issues upgrading from 4.05 or is it the same as before, stop istorage and tray program and install new version into current istorage folder?

For those contemplating upgrading from 4.05 to 4.30 hold off for now.
I tried it on a test system and the results were not good. Waiting to hear from support.
