Re: New beta version of TotalMounter is now available
Windows XP SP3 (fully updated) running on Sun VirtualBox 3.1.6.
I installed the beta but was not able to create and write to a new CD/RW image.
The .iso file was created but was only 0 bytes.
I was able to drag a file onto the drive and the cd write wizard can be activated but not finished.
The process halts at step 2 with "No Cd in drive"
The diskmanagment is not able to connect to the Logical Disk Manager (My Computer->Manage->Diskmanagement).
NB. The following is possible stems from the above mentioned problem.
The add/remove programs is not able to create list of installed programs.
Sysinternals/autoruns is not able to complete a scan (Scanning forever).
Unable to uninstall from Totalmounter\uninstall
Unable to restart (forced reset).
Had to restart in safe mode and disable two drivers (ksbus.sys & kscsiprt.sys). Everything was back in business!
Uninstalled TotalMounter, rebooted (everything is working!).
Reinstalled beta 1.4 (fresh download), restarted after HW wizard was finished.
Still working: Add/remove programs and Autoruns but not Disk management.
New restart but no change.
TEST 2:
I succesfully mounted an existing .iso file and this time no problem with LDM.
Unmounted the drive from totalmounter while browsing the drive with explorer and having LDM open.
The computer went unresponsive and I had to reset.
TEST 3:
Mounted a previously created image .img (no drive letter). Tried opening LDM to assign letter but, again, no response from LDM.
"Establishing connection to the Logical Disk Management service" forever.

Re: New beta version of TotalMounter is now available
Hi,
I'll try to streamline the information.
OS: Windows Vista 64
TotalMounter: v 1.40 beta
Installed fine (which is a big thumbs up after fighting with certificate issues on 1.33)
Mount DVD/CD RW- Mounts fine to drive F or, when I tried mounting two images, drives F and G
Issue: Once mounted, the drive gives me a "Format Disk" message. When I attempt to format the disk, windows gives me an error saying it can't format this disk and to please insert a new disk. I tried to burn to the disk anyway using Roxio Creator DE. While Roxio didn't give me an error, windows now said "Windows can't access disk. Disk may be corrupt... etc. etc."
Let me know if there is more information you need about this. Also, let me know if this project still exists. It looks like the last comment about it was months ago.
Thanks,
Nate

When will a full functional win7 version be available.

Is the project discontinued?

Re: New beta version of TotalMounter is now available
I'm sorry to inform you that we have encountered a problem while developing a new version of TotalMounter.
Therefore project was pended for several months but we plan to continue it in the near future.
