Tapes to VMs

Post by JumboFred » Mon Jul 05, 2010 8:08 am

Hi everyone!
I have HP Tape Device. I'd like to share it to my Hyper-V VMs. Is it possible? How can I perform such action?
Thank you

You can install iStorage Server on the server which was connected by your tape.
And then create a Generaic SCSI device and select the tape device to share it to other server or VMs.

Can you provide some documentation about that?
What license exactly I need to purchase in that case - I need it for my tapes only?

The minimum license requires is personal license,
here are some topics may be helpful for you:
1, User's Manual: User's Guide->Create Device Tutorials->Creating Generic SCSI Device.
2, User's Manual: Quick Start iStorage Server->iStorage Server Quick Start (for initiator side).
Please let me know if you have further requires.
