Hello,

Please could someone clarify the difference between a 'Cluster' application and a 'Mirror' application.

When created either can be connected using the iSCSI initiator as a single disk (when MPIO is used) in the Storage Manager.

This disk can then be used in Hyper-V? So whats the difference to warrent the 'Standard' vs 'Ultimate' license?

Please clarify and give a usage scenario...

Best regards

Martin

Hi
Martin,

Mirror is used for remote / local synchronize replication, it is used for backup only, once the backup device fail, the primary device cannot temporary save data, so the primary device will not work also, this application cannot be used for failover purpose.
Failover is used for creating high-availability iSCSI SAN, when any node failed the partner node will temporary save data and continue offer service to their clients.
