Failover Cluster status failed on one server

Post by DragonLensman » Mon Sep 05, 2011 10:01 am

I just recently purchased iStorage Server and set it up on a pair of servers I followed the instructions for setting up High-Availability iSCSI SAN for VMWare ESX / ESXi Server and i have a VM setup and running from this, but the first of the two iStorage Servers has the cluster applications reporting a status "Failed" the status on the second servers is "Running"? How do I fix this?

Physically both server boxes are identical Dell's with 5x 1 Gb network ports teamed together on a private pair of 1Gb switches.

Hello DragonLensman,

The "Failed" status indicate the channel from the server to it's partner server was broken by some reason, if the connection has no problem, it will recovery automatically when data synchronization needed.
By default, the new created Application is Failed status for a few seconds.
