48 TB iSCSI Server

Post by sixteamparlay » Mon Nov 16, 2009 1:30 pm

I have a Windows 2008 Server D: Drive that is 42TB, I am trying various iSCSI software to present it as a target.

I installed Kernsafe and setup the D: drive as a target.

I connect from a Windows Vista machine using Microsoft iSCSI initiator and the attached is what shows up in Disk Management.

Instead of showing up as a ~39000GB drive the iSCSI target shows up as 3 drives 100GB, 1900GB, 37000GB and the "New Simple Partition" option is not availalbe on the 37000GB partition in order to format/use it.

Does anyone have any insight on how I can get this started?

Thank you!

I know the problem, the large dynamic volume is not supported by the current version of iStorage Server, but we have resolved the problem.
I will post a beta version here when it is ready.
