creating a mirror disk uses a file with a .kmr extension. How can we read back the data from that disk image? For instance I want to make a mirror copy of the target and after it's completed synchronization, take the disk offsite as a backup. How can I get the information back or even verify that it is what I want? What is special about the kmr file type?
Thank you.

Re: Mirror Disk
You may mount the kmr file as an iSCSI target, just like the .img file.

Re: Mirror Disk
Larry, How well does the backup to external work for you? Have you ever had to recover with the image from the external? I am thinking of doing the same thing and wondering how well it is working for you.

Mirror Disk
Im currently running Nas4Free with one 3TB WD Red disk. I am planning on buying another identical disk, and would like to add it to my zpool as a mirror. Is this possible to do without destroying my zpool and creating another? If so, how would I go about accomplishing this?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Mirror Disk
Please try newest 4.3 version, which added support for third-party iSCSI as mirror source or target device.
