iSCSI Initiator X v2.20 / macOS 10.13.6 : Target does not mount / Cannot format

Hi,

I'm currently evaluating the free version iSCSI Initiator X on macOS 10.13.6 (macOS 10.14 will follow if I can resolves the issues with 10.13) but I'm facing some problems. I use the tool to connect to an iSCSI Target hosted in a Synology Cluster.

Mount was failing (with generic error code e0000001) until I deselected "CHAP Auth", "CRC Check features" on the NAS (CHAP will be mandatory for me but I will continue the tests without it).

Now, my target is displayed as 'Logged On" in iSCSI Initiator X but... that's all. No volume mounted, no disk available in diskutil to be formatted... No logs...

First thing I tried with no results :

Code: Select all

launchctl start /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.kernsafe.supersan.x.plist
The System log is full of :

Code: Select all

Oct 15 11:24:20 Mac-Pro com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.kernsafe.initiator.x): Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds.
Did I miss something ? Any ideas ?

Bound to this message the next steps for me are : is CHAP supposed to work (how ?) and is iSCSI Initiator X officially supported on macOS 10.14 Mojave ?

Thanks !
