IStorage with Xenserver 6.1
This is an end user question. How well does iStorage and iStorage HA work with an Xenserver 6.1 enivronment. Saw the recent issue in the last post but in general, how well does it work? What kind os environment are you guys running it on? (2003. 2008 R2) Does iStorage run on Windows Server Web editi...

iStorage HA in production with Xenserver
Anyone using HA with Xenserver in production? The traffic on this forum is pretty sparse, but checking to see what success others have had with iStorage HA and Xenserver. Expecially interested in using dual 10g nics for MPIO from multiple citrix boxes.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Multipath on Linux
Disregard. I was working late last night and kept choosing anonymous instead of ip filter for the security. I stared at that dozens of times and it did not compute in my foggy brain. Its working now. I should not do any computer work after midnite

Multipath on Linux
Trying to connect to 2 nics in my iStorage 2.08 box. I have checked the box to allow multiple initiators in target properties and set the radio button for ALL anonymous users, but I can only get one of my connection from Linux to be active and when I try tto connect with the second, I get a not allo...

Use entire disk or img file?
I have a 2 tb drive for backups. Would it be faster to use the entire disk as a ISCSI target, or to create a img file for the ISCSI target? Seems like using the entire disk would be but I wanted to ask the experts. Trying to get the fastest access possible.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: iSCSI boot
Have any improvements been made in copying large files from 2008 server and using 2008 server as the istorage server? That was a problem that stopped us from looking at 1.5x iStorage. Might be willing to try 2.0 but would like to know if this was even addressed in the new version.
Thanks!

Re: Does iStorage use Jumbo Frames if it exists in nic/switch?
My read performance is good now, fix the write performance of large files and it will be usable.

Re: Does iStorage use Jumbo Frames if it exists in nic/switch?
Just downloaded the latest iStorage 1.55 and in the new HELP docs noticed a section on TCP/IP tuning. After implementing this my performance on large file transfers improved dramatically. I need to do some more tweaking but I think thats where I need to concentrate on getting better performance. Our...

Re: Does iStorage use Jumbo Frames if it exists in nic/switch?
I already had Jumbo Frames enabled. Trying to understand the difference in performance between different SANS and wanted to make sure that Jumbo Frames ( or lack of them ) on iStorage server was not an issue.
