Re: iSCSI wont work across paravirtualized adapters
The guest OS is Windows Server 2008R2 and I did install the appropriate drivers for the Paravirtualized adapter (would not even recognize it otherwise). I do think it's some sort of issue of how kernsafe is communicating over the virtual network since I can use the same connection to copy files via ...

iSCSI wont work across paravirtualized adapters
Running Virtualbox 4.2. iSCSI server on one VM, client on another VM. When using paravirtualized adapters in the guests, can't connect from one to the other via iSCSI. Can use those adapters to connect and be connected to from other hosts. Should that work? Problem with the virtual network maybe? On...

Files in C:\Windows\Temp\
Hi- Currently running two 2.60 Ultimate servers in HA. There are several files on each server, some of them sizable (up to 45GB) in the c:\Windows\Temp\ folder named "kernsafe_failover[n].cfg" and kernsafe_failover[n].cdp" where [n] is a number between 0 and 4. I only have one HA volume right now, a...

Re: HA Health Monitoring
Thanks Olivia- Support for Online Verification/Sync would be very desirable to me. I can imagine doing an online sync/verify could impact performance since it would have to keep track of all the changes while it's syncing. So maybe two options would be in order (high speed ones that warn you to have...

HA Health Monitoring
I have been running HA for some time now and just upgraded to 2.6. In the process, I verified an HA volume and found differences and had to do an manual sync. The screen says to do this while no clients are connected so my volumes were down for an extended period while the sync did it's thing. This ...

Re: New beta version of iStorage Server (2.36) is now availa
We did discover one small problem in our testing that still exists in 2.36: There is no log message or, more importantly, SMTP notification when an application goes into a "failed" state. Thanks- RobertB

Re: Linux version come?
Its kinda sad that the official Kernsafe people have not responded to your post. But I can give you an answer. There are already quite a few linux iSCSI target solutions out there, many of them free. There is no business reason for Kernsafe to venture into that space. If you really wish to deploy a ...

Try the new 2.36 beta posted in this forum. It seems to have fixed the performance issues we were seeing on Server 2008R2

Try the new 2.36 beta. We were also having severe performance issues on Server 2008R2 and this version seems to have fixed those issues.
