Unable to start iStorage Server

Post by PaulHood » Thu Dec 02, 2010 9:45 am

We are unable to start the iStorage Server (tried version 2.20 and an older version 2.08 that I have working on two other Hyper-V hosts. )

Every time we try and start the service the status bar shows "KernSafe iStorage service encountered an error while starting this server, please check IP address and port are not in use"

Other spooky thing are that the IP address wont bind to an actual IP address but random IP such as: 0.0.0.0, 160.13.0.0, 0.0.0.0 & 76.7.0.0 that keep changing the real IP addresses are: 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3, 192.168.1.4 & 192.168.1.5.
Also unable to assign the iStorage Server to one of the real IP address / ports just keeps reverting to 'All' and Port '0'.

Any help much appreciated.

Can you please send the two files to us:
1, Users.db
2, iStorageService.log
You can find these files in iStorage Server installation folder, and these files do not contain privacy information.
